Term 4 School Essentials Competition - Terms and Conditions

Promotion period: The competition opens on 5 October 2026 and closes at 11:59 pm AEDT on 31 October 2026. Entries received after this time will not be accepted.

Eligibility: Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over. People involved in running or judging the competition, and their immediate families, are not eligible.

How to enter: During the promotion period, entrants must:

  1. Complete and submit the competition entry form with their name, email address and Instagram handle.
  2. Follow I Hate Socks on Instagram at the time the winner is selected.
  3. Opt in to receive marketing emails from I Hate Socks using the clearly labelled consent field on the entry form.

Entry is free and no purchase is necessary. Limit one entry per person. Incomplete, duplicate or invalid entries may be excluded.

Marketing emails: By opting in, entrants agree to receive promotional emails from I Hate Socks. They can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email. Unsubscribing after a valid entry has been submitted will not remove that entry from the draw.

Prize: There is one winner, who will receive both of the following:

  • Kids’ prize: One kids’ hooded beach towel and five pairs of I Hate Socks bamboo seamless-feel socks.
  • Adults’ prize: One adults’ hooded beach towel and five pairs of I Hate Socks bamboo seamless-feel socks.

The total prize value is AUD $200. The prize is not redeemable for cash. I Hate Socks will arrange delivery to an Australian address at no cost to the winner. Sock sizes and colours are subject to availability and will be arranged with the winner.

Winner selection: One winner will be selected at random from valid entries on 2 November 2026. I Hate Socks will check that the selected entrant meets the entry requirements, including following its Instagram account.

Winner notification: The winner will be contacted using the email address supplied on the entry form and announced on the I Hate Socks Instagram account on 2 November 2026. I Hate Socks will never ask the winner to pay a fee to claim the prize.

Claiming the prize: The winner must respond within seven days of being contacted and provide the details needed to deliver the prize. If they cannot be contacted, do not meet the entry requirements or do not claim the prize within that period, I Hate Socks may select another winner at random from the remaining valid entries.

Personal information: I Hate Socks will use entry details to administer the competition, contact the winner and, where consent has been given, send marketing emails. Entrants can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
